All in all, Excellent bb/pellet gun.

If you want to hit your target, with one shot, or just having fun with friends target shooting, bb's are all over the place and not a fair match at all.
JhW
This gun is very powerful and fun to shoot.

I bought this using my wife's Amazon account because she has Prime.

I have not had time to set up and sight the scope, though it is very close right out of the box. The rifle feels fairly solid, until an inexpensive bb gun.

I am using Crossman destroyers 7.9g as I recall and have not had kill shots on 2 mocking birds (they chased off every other bird from my feeders). I have ordered some heavier pellets to see if that will give me the one shot one kill. I do not want a bird to suffer.

I think if I were doing this over I might look at the 22ca air rifles because my two attempts only injured the bird which means there is no way I would shoot a squirrel with a pellet from this rifle (barring a large increase from the heavier pellets I have on order).\

If you are going to be shooting "varmits", I would recommend spending just a little more to get a break barrel 22ca version to get the thump you will need for them.

I am neutral on this purchase as far as it doing what I intended and plan to update this after the heavier pellets arrive.

It seems to be a solid rifle, with a decent scope (though my exposure to them is limited). For shooting targets, a winner. For birds, not sure yet.

UPDATE 03-26-13

Still enjoying the air rifle. I did a quick sighting on the scope in my basement with a target designed for 22ca, so my 177 pellets were not an issue as far as damaging it at such a short distance. the problem I had was 18feet was the longest distance I could get in the basement. After a VERY short adjustment time (less than 20 minutes) I was putting pellets in a thumbnail sized group.

This product is quite great, Once the rifles scope is zeroed nicely its accurate from 40-100ft. I've used this on targets at various ranges and for the most part its fairly accurate. Any review that says other wise is most likely inexperienced in zeroing a scope or is pulling the trigger. With the scope its pretty dead on and accurate for as far as you can see with the naked eye. One Con would be that if your not careful on how you load it you can cause a jam.

Pros:
Inexpensive
Accurate
Attachment Rail
Multi Ammo (Pellets/BBs)
Free scope

Cons:
Occasional jam
Requires the ability to Zero in a scope. (not that difficult)

The gun has a really nice grip to it. You have to sight in the scope and once you do it's really accurate. It shoots very far too, about 40 yards super accurate, accurate 80 yards, and then after that it may take a few try's to hit the target. All in all, Excellent bb/pellet gun.

I didn't know what to expect. The rifle looked cool and it is cool. It has a great weight and balance. The scope is really good, but I have a high powered scope I put on it so now it is dead on. Don't worry, the scope on this is a very good scope. I swapped it to one of my other air rifles that had a poor quality scope.

This is an awesome BB/Pellet air rifle. Very, very powerful and accurate with the scope or iron sights. We setup the scope in less than 15mins. Now we are putting BBs and pellets thru the same holes over and over again. This is a very nice Winchester, it is the 3rd Winchester in my collection and proud to have it! You only need 2-3 pumps for a high power shot. Do not hesitate or 2nd guess your choice in air rifles, this is a precision gun and very well engineered fire arm. Extremely accurate once you get the rifle sighted in. This rifle is worthy of the "Winchester" name!

this is a very good gun. this is pretty much the exact same gun as the daisy 880 which is 34.95 at walmart. the only things different is the stock with is way more comfortable then the daisy stock. the color is changed and the forarm part just looks nicer and is not as thick. it also comes with a nicer scope

The scope is easily attached and can be sighted in very quickly. After sighting in with pellets on a bullseye target at 50 feet, I could group shots within the X ring consistently. Pellets are a little difficult to load with the scope mounted but BBs proved to be just as accurate. All in all a great gun for target shooting.

This variable pump (max ten pumps) is ideal for back yard use; I use 5 pumps for pigeon and dove meals, Gamo Rocket .177, 9.6grs.

With five pumps the pellet doesn't travel through the game; all energy is expelled inside the bird, they fall over like tin cans. Ten pumps puts the pellet through the body and both doves and pigeons fly away and die somewhere else; a waste of meat. I wanted a low velocity rifle with variable selection power; I got just what I wanted. My back yard is 10 yards deep and 20 yards wide (small area) with a rock wall for stopping thru and thru pellets; after bouncing off the dirt, given my aim angle to the birds.

I haven't been able to get the accuracy I was hoping for; however, I can't blame that on the rifle because I've only put Gamo Rocket .177 pellets thru it. In addition, I'm new to firing pellets, not sure how to determine which pellet will seal better in my barrel than others. Persons I've spoken with have stated, alloy pellets seal better and give truer more consistent flight paths from the barrel; I have a full can of Rockets and will finish this can before trying another brand--which will be alloy.

Target bullet pattern was shot at 32 feet inside my house using my hallway to eliminate outside wind effect on the flight of the Gamo .177 Rocket, 9.6grs. Since the distance length of my hallway and the target point to the birds in my back yard is almost the same I decided to use this hallway distance to sight in the scope that came with the rifle. Scope is adequate for my needs; and, was very easy to sight in given the instructions included with the rifle.

I will post another evaluation of accuracy for this rifle after I shoot alloy pellets. PS....I love how light and easy this rifle is to use.
