This bell was a little more expensive than others, but it is heavy duty, not plastic. Has a nice, loud ding. The ones sold for dog door bells are part plastic.

Got this product on a whim for a home bar bell -- ended up having to order another because everyone loved ringing it to get another drink. Just like the ones you see at a hotel front desk.

I ordered this bell so my Dad could ring from his bed (bedridden). It does not take very much effort to get a loud ding. Very useful. Excellent made, stainless steel type product.

I got this to use in my kindergarten classroom...2 dings signal it's clean up time and everyone has to freeze and get quiet. With my old bell, sometimes if it was a particularly noisy day not everyone would hear the 2 dings on the first try. Not with this bell. It produces a pleasent and crystal clear "DING" that cuts through the noise of 26 five year olds and silences them instantly:) I'm glad they broke my old bell:)

I bought this bell to use in my classroom. It rings loud and clear, but after using it for a few months, the silver coating began to peel off the bell. The bell was copper underneath. I didn't expect this to happen so easily, so it was a little disappointing.

Nice, heavy, great sound. Just what I needed for calling folks to the table without yelling through the house!

Scared my dog,

It's a great bell, the same as the ones you see in hotels, but it scared our dog. We got it to bell train our dog, so that he could let us know when he wanted to go outside instead of scratching at the door, but he ended up being so scared of the noise that the bell made that he would run away every time he heard it... The bell didn't work out for our purposes, but it's no fault of the product.

Product is exactly as shown, no surprises. Gives a loud, clear ring. We used it for an elderly family member to call people from other parts of the house.

I bought three of these and they all work great. The sound quality is very good in my opinion.

We're trying to train our dog to ring the bell if she needs to go out. It would sure beat her whimpering quietly near the back door, or scratching the paint off the door. As it is, she recognizes that she is supposed to go outside when we tap on the bell (which is on the floor next to the door, incidentally). However, she has not quite grapsed that she is able to ring the bell. Is she plays in the vicinity and accidentally pumps against the bell so that it rings, she immediately expects to go outside. Score one for Pavlov!
As for the bell, it is of good quality, has a clear sound and seems pretty OK for the price. |
