I saw this group at the Celtic Fling at Mt Hope, they were absolutely fantastic. I bought the 2 cd's they had for sale and am looking for more. I really hope the boys are at next years Fling. We missed them this year the bands they had just don't compare to Enter The Haggis

5.0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor and try the Haggis experience!!, May 8, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Let The Wind Blow High (Audio CD)
Enter the Haggis is a rollicking Celtic rock band that combines clever lyrics, traditional rock n'roll instruments, the tin whistle, bagpipes, and fiddle. This was their first album with a somewhat different set of band members, but it is still the best introduction to the Enter the Haggis sound and is the most wacky and free-spirited of their albums. Their other albums are also exceptional. The only tragedy is that they are such an amazing live band that you only get a fraction of their tremendous on-stage energy in a recorded format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD!, December 16, 2003
This review is from: Let The Wind Blow High (Audio CD)
This CD is very, very cool. If you like weird, eclectic music with strange lyrics, this is definitely a good CD to have. It also has some sad songs on it, but the majority are really funny and very clever musically.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fusion at its Celtic best!, May 17, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Let The Wind Blow High (Audio CD)
Enter the Haggis successfully fuses punk rock, celtic, and bluegrass music into a strong, driving, force-to-be-reckoned with. The upbeat tempo of some songs will have you dancing 'round the room, while the ballads will bring tears to your eyes. Let the Wind Blow High is an excellent album. I also reccommend their latest, Casualties of Retail - available at Maple Music. Check it out! And visit www.enterthehaggis.com

I saw this band at the Celtic Fling in Lancaster, Pa and they were excellant. The songs are a great mix of traditional and original selections. "Donald, Where's my Trouser's", "The Mexican Scotsman" and "Ride my Monster" are hysterical. The ballads were beautiful. If you like celtic music and want a good laugh, you will absolutely love this.

This is an awesome band, and a great CD. Their sound is a cool mix of bagpipes and rock instruments. Think Scottish Tenacious D. It's great!

Heard the group in person and bought their CD. They have a new one out and I am looking for it. The group has a lot of energy, good at working the crowd and great music!
