After having the album" Road to Freedom" for 4 years, I got the chance to purchase almost all of Wind Machines works in 1994. Immediately it was appearant that Steve Mesple and company had the handle on folk/fusion songcrafting.

Mixing jazz, blues and bluesgrass elements in this debut album effort, Wind Machine lets their roots show, so to speak. By letting down their hair and allowing the music to do the talking, Wind Machine rolls down the road of jazz, blues and folk like a well versed traveler.

Steve Mesple' and Joe Scott show a great partnership from the get go, and through the years, that partnership seems to have only gotten stronger.

The most interesting thing about this album, and Wind Machine in general, is that there never seems to be one person leading the way. As you listen to, and are immeresed in the world of music around you, look for others following alongside you, walking with you. That way, when it comes time to part ways, the path will be clear, and youll see the road to freedom was the road you were on all the time.
