5.0 out of 5 stars Great album much more better on hybrid SACD., June 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For those who already know and have this album don't hesitate to buy this new version on hybrid SACD.
Even on a regular CD player the sound is amazing much more details and clarity. Also the DVD bonus are very good and interesting. Ray Shulman (from Gentle Giant) made all the DVD authoring, it's great to see his name along the credit with this long time contemporary band. Probably with A Trick of the Tail, and Selling England by the Pound their finest musically effort. You will apreciate this piece of art. Go for this version even if it's more expensive then the regular.
Hybrid SACD are superior then CD, again even on regular player.

I cant say enough about the sound of the enhanced Cd. Dont worry about
an SACD player, this will "kick" on your own system! The only part I did not like was the DVD footage, the interviews were quite good, but the "US television bootleg" and the the Japanese television bootleg" were terrible!
The TV boot, came from the Mike Douglas Show. You can hardly make out their
faces, poor quality of sound. The Japanese footage was full of shadows!
In the interview section,Steve Hackett(of course leaves after this one)
talks about feeling intimidated with the other members on their writting
capabilities. Banks gives you the impression that he is "the boss" on this musical journey! Rutherford does compliment Hackett on the great job on "Blood on the Rooftops". Hackett states he did almost everything except play the drums on that one. I am really excited for this musical
venue to come out. Again, dont worry about the SACD player ,you WILL HEAR THE DIFFERENCE! Remember, its the sound we are after, the DVD is just an added feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars A WONDERFUL RELEASE!!, August 5, 2007

Rafael "RaFael" (Brazil, SC Joinville) - See all my reviews
This Japanese mini-lp replica version of Genesis Wind and Wuthering is simply a work of art! Very beautifully designed with all the lyrics included and with a sound quality SACD remastered to perfection.
This is by far the best version of this album that is out there; great sound quality, great packaging, great extra material with videos, making off! A must have in any CD collector's library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for any "pre commercial"Genesis aficionados, April 16, 2011

This review is from: Wind & Wuthering (Bonus Dvd) (Pal) (Hybr) (Audio CD)
As close to the original master tapes as you could get.I have finally realized that the original production is so much more important than the brand of playback equipment(to late unfortunately)is to the final presentation.Of course I am referring to full SACD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rediscovering a great album, July 5, 2008
I hadn't listen to this record in like 20 years and now I can't stop playing this cd. I bought it specifically for the sacd version and I couldn't be more pleased. The videos are terrible but I don't really care. I could use some help though. I want to buy Trick of the Tail but there are a number of low ratings. Is the sacd mix really that bad? Any help would be appreciated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wind & Wuthering [HYBRID SACD] [IMPORT] /GENESIS, April 15, 2008
There is nothing to say much. It is the best album of Genesis. For this reason the most quality [HYBRID SACD] is purchased to my collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice 5.1 SACD mix but a little lacking in bonus material, May 22, 2007
This album took a while to grow on me when I first started listening to it a few years ago, but once it did, I loved it. It is not quite good as A Trick Of The Tail, but still very good IMHO. This package does not have as much quality bonus material as compared to the "A Trick Of The Tail" CD/SACD. I wish they could have included some live bonus video like the aforementioned but instead we get some very poor quality TV appearance.
