This is an outstanding room humidifier! Much quieter than others I've tried, and it does a great job for me in a fairly large bedroom. Another reviewer complained about being unable to disable the too bright nightlight, but it CAN be done. The nightlight basically lights up the entire blue water tank, and it's actually quite attractive if you're not after serious darkness. The light is under the water tank, so you'll see it each time you refill it with water. I simply removed the two small screws on the light bulb's plastic cover, gave the inside of the small cover a couple of quick squirts with black spray paint, let it dry an hour or so, and replaced the cover and screws. Result: no light. I strongly recommend this one for an office, bedroom or any other room-sized use.

This is the perfect bedside humidifier: It's almost silent, you can see a visible mist which is adjustable and it's compact. Runs at least a whole night plus more. BUT, and this is why I am going to send it back, you cannot turn down or off the VERY BRIGHT blue night light. It lights up the room too brightly and there is no option to either turn it off or at least turn the light down. For a child's room where parents may want the light on at all times, it may be just fine. For adults who like to sleep in the dark, this humidifier will light up your life and probably disturb your sleep.

The air gets really dry in Southern California and this humidifier works great adding moisture to our home. Now I don't get static shocks when I pet our animals. It is hard to clean the base if you use water with a lot of lime it it, but it is still running great. We like the humming noise it makes and the blue light is like a large night light. It always turns off automatically when it runs out of water.

The WindChaser strong points: quiet, realtively easy to use, mid-priced

Sore points: 1) The misting function works sporadically. Sometimes I have to shake it to get it back to misting. 2) The unit sends out a very bright blue light, which for some may be sleep disturbing and 3) the unit requires frequent refilling since the tub is small. For very dry weather, such as Phoenix/Las Vegas environments, it will work for one bedroom for one evening.

I have nothing against this humidifier or the brand ... but I ordered it specifically because Amazon's description says, at least twice, and in prominent locations "5-gallon water tank." It seems they left out a decimal point. This small humidifier uses a HALF gallon tank which can only run 12 hours. I didn't read the reviews because I already have a WindChaser humidifier which I love. I really appreciate the other reviews, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the glitch in the product description yet.

I liked my humidifier so much I bought these two for gifts, and the recipients really like them, not only for the humidifying effect, but because they are so quiet. Unfortunately, I was told they are now discontinued.

This thing is convenient to use since it does not need replacement filters, but you need to use only distilled water. Broke within a month. Light is bright. Do not waste your money.

It's a good product. I bought 2 years ago, never clean it. it is still working, and exceeding my expectation. I don't care about the blue light.

It's important to note that I use my humidifier only at work and only for my corner of the office and my plants. Overall, this humidifier does what it should. Attractive design, quiet and handy adjustable mist control, both in volume and in direction. Quick appearance of cool mist due to the ultrasonic technology. The nightlight does not disturb me as I am around it only during the day. However, even after just one usage it has a few watermark lines inside the blue colored tank. Other problems: not convenient to clean and tough to hold on to for refilling due to its shape and smooth texture. Instructions say that the user to should clean this unit after each and every use and never leave water just sitting in it. Yeah, right. A little high maintenance for even the most fastidious consumer. So pretty much a 50-50 buy for me...not perfect but also not a bust.

This is a worthless product that broke within 2 days. Terrible return policy, company deducts a 10% reshelving fee. Do not purchase from this company
