5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Soundtrack for a truly beautiful movie, January 11, 2001
This review is from: Windaria (1986 Anime Video) (Audio CD)
I was happy to find the Windaria Soundtrack, since i searched long for it to no success. I hadn't listened to the japanese versions of the songs and even though i did not get to hear them in the movie (since they were obmitted in the english dubbed version), i truly loved them, specially the ending theme (Utsukushii Hoshi - Beautiful Planet), boy do i wish to see the movie in it's original form to listen to the song and see the entire ending scene (which was also cut in the dubbed version.... damn!). If you liked the movie, get it, you won't regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars AH! The 80s!, July 20, 2000
This review is from: Windaria (1986 Anime Video) (Audio CD)
I was looking for this title in the usual places to findJapanese animation soundtracks and was coming up with a bigzero. Imagine how happy I was to discover I could get it through Amazon.com. The lyrics and credits are in Japanese as well as the two songs. I will say that this is a very beautiful soundtrack. Windaria is a very melancholy story and the soundtrack follows suit. Action sequence music makes about a third of the tracks while the other two thirds are mood and songs. Much of the music is electronic as are many anime soundtracks of the 80s. It's very nostalgic if you became an "anime fan" in that time period.
