These are very nice and sturdy rods; I just didn't realize how large they were. The packaging says it holds up to 50 lbs, which would be suitable for heavy drapes in a picture window. I was planning to use them for small valances in a baby nursery, and they're way too big for that. The description here at Amazon does say that the diameter is 1 and 1/4", but it didn't resonate with me how large that was.
