I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this Drapery Rod for the price. I bought a set of Blackout Drapes to go with it for installation over a set of windows facing East in my Bedroom. I wanted to block the very early morning light from waking me too early. All the necessary mounting hardware was included. All you need is a measuring tape, a lead pencil or a pen to mark where you want the screws to go into the wallboard and a screwdriver. After you mount the plastic rod holders to the wall using the supplied wallboard screws you then simply extend the Drapery Rod to the desired length and drop the rod into the plastic wall holders (you can see one of the plastic wall holders in the photograph provided here on this page). I purchased this particular Drapery Rod because it seemed to me to be the best quality product that would do the job for me for the least amount of money. After hanging the drapes onto the Drapery Rod everything stayed firmly in place, there is no "drooping" or bending of this Drapery Rod which is made of tubular steel. Overall this Drapery Rod met my needs well and didn't cost too much money, making it in my opinion a good value product. I recommend the purchase of this Curtain Rod if all you need is a basic black color Drapery/Curtain Rod without overly fancy end pieces. Note that Amazon.com also sells another model of this Drapery Rod which is identical in function and appearance but is shorter in extendable length. I recommend the purchase of this 44-108 inch Window Drapery Rod in Black.

These curtain rods worked out perfectly! Able to extend one to 104" & it was still solid in the brackets: no bending, flexing. Install was a breeze (removing ancient old drapery system wasn't tho :P ). My only real "complaint" is the ball ends: they were flimsy in their attachment & took some doing to make sure they were seated correctly after install so they wouldn't be crooked. & The leveler piece for the extension end should match the color of the rod - I was able to hide it in the bracket, but still kinda stupid to have a frost color piece of plastic on a black rod. Seller was prompt in shipping & items were packed very well. Would buy from them again.
