Hate the fact that now most companies are making huge sheets to cover 4 or 5 windows. I find that awkward to use and to cut. These are a nice size to work with. I only used one so far and put that on my larger window. Most of my windows are half the size of what most people have in their homes which is the major reason I like the individual sheets. For me, after doing the big window, each of the sheets will cover two of my other windows and I don't have to wrestle with a super huge sheet.

These sheets are 62" X 42". My windows are 62" X 47". I was still able to make it work by cutting a 5" strip and then scotch taping the seam. I was hoping I could melt the sheets together at the seam with the blow dryer but it did not work. The most important advice I could give you is to first wipe down the area you are going to apply the tape with rubbing alcohol. That is the most important step in the process. My apartment is very drafty because of the single pane windows and now that I have insulated the windows I can actually turn off the electric heaters once the room gets to a warm temperature. Now the room temperature is actually maintained and does not drop like a lead balloon like it was before applying the window insulation. So take heart you will be improving your winter living space and feel like you accomplished your goal of staying warm. Now if they can just keep the drunk drivers from taking out the telephone poles near my house and cutting the power. I have electric heat and coincidentally the night I was applying the window insulation someone wrecked and destroyed one of the power line poles down the street from my house. Only they did it before I had all of the insulation up so I froze that night because it took the utility crew 9 hours to restore power. I hope the judge throws the book at that guy.

I installed this item on two leaky windows in my house in early November using the trim around the windows to install the tape. Installation was a breeze and the double sided sticky tape worked like a charm. The plastic is very clear and there is almost no evidence that it is there. Additionally, it works!!! I haven't had to use my supplementary heating in the installation room so far this year.
