Anyone who misses the Erykah of On & On and Didn't Cha Know will fall in love with Window Seat. Tired of the realities and pressures of everyday life, Badu wants to take a break from it all and get "a ticket outta town/A look around/And a safe touch down", but also yearns to be appreciated and missed back home. "I need you to want me/I need you to miss me/I need your attention, yes/I need you next me/I need someone to clap for me/I need your direction/somebody say come back/come back baby come back/I want you to need me!" Who hasn't felt underappreciated before? Love the mellow, lissome production and Erykah's dreamy vocals. "Come back, come back, baby!"

First I have to say, Thank You! WIndow seat is great !

Window Seat is just what we need, I saw Miss Badu's performance of "Window Seat," on
The Wendy Williams show and it was definitely a very powerful performance. I am glad I watched it. Erykah's performance was the most genuine and the most anticipated performance, i cant wait to see her on tour!

Neo-Soul artist Erykah Badu once again proves that she is an amazing artist. I loved the quiet, meditative feel of the song. It is definitely vintage Badu. Badu revealed a great vulnerability of herself while singing this low-tempo ballad. The lyrics express concern of escapism and earnest, desperate yearning for growth and freedom. All I want to do is take a road trip and put this track on repeat.
