Anyone who misses the Erykah of On & On and Didn't Cha Know will fall in love with Window Seat. Tired of the realities and pressures of everyday life, Badu wants to take a break from it all and get "a ticket outta town/A look around/And a safe touch down", but also yearns to be appreciated and missed back home. "I need you to want me/I need you to miss me/I need your attention, yes/I need you next me/I need someone to clap for me/I need your direction/somebody say come back/come back baby come back/I want you to need me!" Who hasn't felt underappreciated before? Love the mellow, lissome production and Erykah's dreamy vocals. "Come back, come back, baby!"

Window Seat is just what we need, I saw Miss Badu's performance of "Window Seat," on
The Wendy Williams show and it was definitely a very powerful performance. I am glad I watched it. Erykah's performance was the most genuine and the most anticipated performance, i cant wait to see her on tour!

Neo-Soul artist Erykah Badu once again proves that she is an amazing artist. I loved the quiet, meditative feel of the song. It is definitely vintage Badu. Badu revealed a great vulnerability of herself while singing this low-tempo ballad. The lyrics express concern of escapism and earnest, desperate yearning for growth and freedom. All I want to do is take a road trip and put this track on repeat.

Erykah Badu has returned with a great introduction to the second part in the New Amerykah series. "Window Seat" is full of vibrance and energy from the production by the legendary Soulquarians to the soulful sultry vocals. Paired with the "controversial" visual interpretation video made for a perfect assembly of musical ART and visual ART. You need the whole album but this song is DEFINITELY a start.

This song puts you in a place where soul meets chill. Erykah's voice leads, reminiscent of a modern Billie Holiday. Badu's lyricism never ceases to be amazing and original. What a great song, be sure to check it out.

I have been following Erykah since day one and all I can say is she never dissapoints. 'Window Seat' is excellent and nobody can put feelings into words better then Erykah, she can reach your soul in a way not many artists can and when she sings those words you believe every one of them 'cos she is for real. If you haven't already check this out.

Dallas Native Erykah Badu returns with "Window Seat," which is, perhaps, her most personal offering to date. The lyrics could have been easily pulled from pages of her journal. Very expressive and emotional. In the song she speaks of a need to feel appreciated and I'm sure everyone can relate to that. This is one of my new favorites from Erykah but to me this is just a teaser because, fortunately , I've seen her perform live several times so I'm ready to experience THIS song live.

Wanting to feel needed/appreciated, missed or the need to just "get away from it all" as the saying goes. We all have felt that way before but Erykah is actually putting it to music and did it perfectly.

Window Seat is AWES0ME and I would recommend it to any and all of my friends!

When I first heard the song on the pre-release, I was so excited! This was the first track after quite a while and it certainly didn't disappoint me.
It is probably one of my favorite songs on the album, very soulful, reminds me more of her earlier songs. I feel like this song is me sometimes,
I feel like I know the feeling that Erykah is singing about =) and the video!! omg, i felt a bit strange watching it in the beginning as she was taking her clothes off,
but the end completed the whole idea, which is brilliant.
I think the whole album is very strong representation of herself as an artist and hopefully it will do well. Cant wait to see Erykah Badu live as this is when she shows what she is made of!
