2.0 out of 5 stars Do not touch on capital topics, September 10, 1999
This review is from: Windows® 98 MCSE Study Guide (Paperback)
This book is well done with the points its purpose to teach. But it lacks important questions like Personal Web Server, Proxy relations with 98, and a lot of things about Netware. I passed on test just for a hair... Be careful !

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Much information that you don't need for the Exam, December 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Windows® 98 MCSE Study Guide (Paperback)
This Book contains Information that you don't need for the exam. What i mean is that is a waste of time. I skipped 6 chapters in the book because it got really boring. I got to a point that i was reading how to change the time in windows 98. Man if i want to learn how to change the time in windows 98 i would have purchase the (Biginners Guide to windows 98)not a MCSE book. I would not recommend this book to anybody.

2.0 out of 5 stars RUSHED TO PRINT!!!!, October 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Windows® 98 MCSE Study Guide (Paperback)
I have read over half of this book and the impression I get is that the entire book was rushed to print. It seems like the author did a replace (word processor function) text to a Win95 book without actually reading over sections for current validity. One whole set of chapter questions covered Win95 not Win98! I found this book difficult to read and follow. Many questions in the review section were over items not even covered in the chapter. I am convinced it has good information but a reader is forced to "wade" through what seems unimportant to get to the important information. I have not taken any of the MCSE tests but am very skilled with computers so my comments may not be worth a darn but I would not want to base my test score on this book!!

I would suggest looking at Osborne's Win98 certification booklet it covers EXACT exam objectives.

I have only read the first two chapters so far but I have found several contradictions and errors. Some of the answers for the review questions are also missing
