This review is from: Windows 95 For Dummies (Paperback)
This book is helpful yet very humorous. You can find just about anything that you need to know without having to read the whole book or chapter. Windows 95 for Dummies is very easy to understand, in plain old english and not computer jargon. It answers most questions and easy to follow also. Good for us simple folks. :)

The VAST majority of information found in this book is
stuff that the semi-knowledgable Win3.1 user will be able
to figure out on his/her own in just a few hours. Good for
folks who just bought a computer, pre-loaded with Win95; but
for anyone else, don't waste your money.

'Dummies' Opens the Window on 95',

This review is from: Windows.. 95 For Dummies.. (Paperback)
The combined effort and experience of Andy Rathbone and IDG Books make for interesting, informative and entertaining reading in the 1995 release of 'Windows 95 for Dummies'. Complete with fully illustrated examples and the humor of Rich Tennant's cartoons, this worthy addition to the Dummies series leads the novice computer user through the jungle that is Windows 95, steering them away from the many 'wild beats' that lurk in the dark.
The Introduction provides a short synopsis of each section of the book, thus enabling the reader to appropriately choose their own starting point based on their level of confidence with 95. And the attention to detail, although meticulous, is not confusing to the reader. Sections related to the current topic are clearly referenced, with the Appendix and sumptuous Index providing easy access above and beyond the call of duty.
If you must read a book about Windows 95 (and who among us shouldn't?), this is the one for you

After hearing all the horror stories about how confusing Windows 95 was, I was intimidated. This book guided me thru the transition and convinced me that I wouldn't break it! Like nearly all of the Dummie books, this explains in simple to understand plain English what all those buttons are for. A good addition to a home computer library
