One of the truly greats, January 28, 2000

What can I say about Dave Mackay? Aside from being the quintessential fine musician, he is one of the world's truly beautiful people. I think that's why his approach to music is so deep and sensitive, and that comes out clearly in this album. Am I biased? Absolutely. My piano "lessons" with him were much more than that. He taught me to search for the inner core of music (and life). His music comes from way deep inside, thus the album title, perhaps unintended, points toward that inner window where you can share something special. All you have to do is listen.
