I found the book to be a little outdated,
By A Customer
This review is from: Windows Programmer's Guide to Serial Communications/Book and Disk (Paperback)
I was disappointed with the book because I found it to be outdated. I am trying to write a serial communications program using Windows95. This book does not include programs for Windows95 or WindowsNT. I also found that there were many areas in the sample programs that were not explained. There are function calls used that are not part of the standard C library that are not explained. The author assumes that you have a lot of experiance in programming in Windows, which I do not. I found much better and more up to date information in another book called "Win32 System Services - The Heart of Windows 95 & Windows NT" by Marshall Brain. This book showed me a much simpler way of programming serial communications
