This book is a reference compendium of Windows shareware tools for software development. The companion CD-ROM contains all the tools. Here is immediate access to the best tools, gathered from all over the world. The book provides detailed reviews, so you can quickly assess the usefulness each software package. Every tool is specially authorized for distribution with this book and CD-ROM. The authors have provided the very latest release available at the time of publication. The CD is not full of mammoth archives of .BMP "wallpaper" or unauthorized sound bites of Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. This CD contains 75 of the world's top Windows 3.x, Win32, and Windows 95 shareware and freeware development tools. Victor Volkman maintains close contact with all these authors. Many of them have improved their tools on Victor's advice. Europe, Australia and the USA are all represented in this book. The tools include a mixture of 16-bit and 32-bit packages, and some work well in either 16-bits or 32-bits. Whether developers are working with Windows 3.x or Windows 95, these tools will improve and ease their work. To qualify for inclusion in this Developers Resource Kit, each product meets the following criteria: 1.the product adds significant value to development efforts. 2.the quality of the product is sufficient for everyday use. 3.the authors actively provide technical support. 4.the product meets or exceeds its technical claims.

The next 10 years, he concentrated on writing for computer programming journals such as C/C++ Users Journal, Windows Developer's Journal, The C Gazette, and others. During this phase, he wrote computer programming textbooks including "C/C++ Treausure Chest" and "Windows Programming with Shareware Tools."
