Best in its catagory!!, October 19, 1998
This review is from: Windows Nt Security: A Practical Guide to Securing Windows Nt Servers and Workstations (Mcgraw-Hill Ncsa Guides) (Paperback)
This book is THE BEST reference to NT workstation security. It is comprehensive, and tells one of many of the NT security holes, and how to plug them. the only downside is that the passcrack security test tool was not included (apparently the author thought it would ship on disk) and no reference was made as to where to get it.

This review is from: Windows Nt Security: A Practical Guide to Securing Windows Nt Servers and Workstations (Mcgraw-Hill Ncsa Guides) (Paperback)
i bought this book while waiting train.
i have red some books on same subject.
this book covers subject more in depth.
but what was missing:
author describes an utility ,that can be
used to check poor passwords, but
does not tell where it can be founded,
i think he should include that b/c he
describes how to use it in efficient way.
but in conclusion: worth buying, tells
things that other won't, but all things
are not so deep. buy it anyway!!!
