1.0 out of 5 stars Get the second edition, December 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Exam Guide (Covers Exam #70-073) (Hardcover)
This book has good content, but it is: 1. overpriced, 2. dated, 3. peppered with errors here and there, 4. containing a CD that barely merits the cost of pressing.

I just used the 2nd Edition to pass the exam and found that it is: 1. $60 cheaper, 2. updated, 3. corrected, 4. having a CD that is as good as any I have seen with a test prep guide.

See my review on the second edition to see my story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Thumbs Down, January 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Exam Guide (Covers Exam #70-073) (Hardcover)
I found the writing to be less than concise, tending to be both stuffy and rambling. Many of the graphics were amateurish. The question sets could do with explanations of why certain answers are correct. After my first experience with this series, Dan York's fine "Network Essentials," I was expecting a lot more from this book. Especially for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing !, July 27, 1998
This review is from: Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Exam Guide (Covers Exam #70-073) (Hardcover)
I used this book to prepare for my NT workstaion 4.0 and I barely got through. The book was good but I felt it did'nt focus properly on an exam point of view. Some topics like sysdiff utility were not covered. The sample questions could have been modelled like Microsoft exams. Not worth spending so much money on this book.
