5.0 out of 5 stars tj's thinking, April 1, 2002

Actually, I'm pretty much at a loss. I read this book several years ago, and it has always stayed on my mind that I need to hear "the rest of the story".
I like Ms. Hoff's books because she appears to have a firm grip on the reality of christianity in correlation to our naturally dark hearts. This quality combined with the historical settings and all too humanly frail characters make for wonderful reading.
I have nothing but praise for the excellent works of Ms. Hoff. I loved the Emerald Ballad series. I also started the Cloth of Heaven series, but I commiserate with your other reviewers. Where are the sequels to Graystone Manor and Cloth of Heaven? We want MORE!
I must apologize. Obviously, this is not a review, but a big question mark.

4.0 out of 5 stars St. Clare Trilogy Titillating, April 1, 2000
By A Customer
B.J. Hoff's St. Clare Trilogy should be just that, a trilogy. Winds of Graystone Manor is a chilling, captivating mystery with a warm blend of romance and new beginnings. Because of the finale's definite cliffhanger, this novel should not stand alone. As an avid reader, I would like to strongly urge B.J. Hoff to reconsider and please all of us with her brilliant way of weaving spiritual truths into the imperfect lives of her characters in the final two novels of the St. Clare Trilogy. I will be praying towards that end.

5.0 out of 5 stars winds of graystone manor, January 17, 2002

I love this book. It had romance and mystery. I like a book that can keep you on the edge of your seat. This book is one of them. And the author tells the story without fowl words in it.But I'm sad to say that the author has not wrote the other books for this trilogy.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my very favorites!, December 23, 2000
This is perhaps my very favorite novels...definately in the top ten! It held me captivated the whole way through...from page one on. The mystery and romance was great, with an intriguing plot, characters, and surroundings, as well as a good message.

I've been waiting for book two and three, but I haven't seen any sign of them, which is very disappointing. This book leaves me wanting to know what happens next...Maybe I'll have to let my imagination fill it in.

Great job, B. J. Hoff in this book!...Please don't leave us fans hanging forever!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's an awesome book-- it will hold you spellbound!, July 7, 1999

I was so into reading this book that I couldn't put it down. That was a few years back already and I'm still waiting for the next book of this series. I promise myself not to buy any other B.J. Hoff book unless the second book of the St. Clare Trilogy is published.

5.0 out of 5 stars can't put it down and want to read more, February 16, 1999
I thought the book was excellent. I have been watching for the rest of the trilogy and have since read many of BJHoff's books. Does anyone know if there are anymore books available in this St Claire Trilogy yet? I read the Winds of Greystone Manor some time ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars This romantic suspense series makes history fascinating., January 14, 1997

It's not nice to fool loyal readers! But that's exactly what B.J. Hoff does in Winds of Graystone Manor. At first I thought the title was a little cheesy - too reminiscent of Greystoke Manor in the Tarzan adventures. However, it didn't take long to forget that and just hope that book number two in the St. Clare Trilogy would be on the bookstore shelf when I finished number one. As her fans know, Ms. Hoff has a deep commitment to historical accuracy and this is also evident in her mysteries and romantic suspense series. For example, she weaves in information about the early developments in photography as Civil War photographer Roman St. Clare shares "how it's done" with Amanda Fairchild so easily you don't realize you're learning.

How did she fool this loyal reader? Skillfully, and with malice of forethought, she let me become attached to Amanda, owner of Graystone Manor, a secluded resort hotel on Staten Island in 1867, Roman, Dr. Niles Rutherford, and Conor the Irish wolfhound. Then when I had the villain all figured out and his motives neatly understood and labeled she reminds me of a tidbit from an earlier chapter that completely blows my theories out of the water. Wrong villain, wrong hero. I had to renounce my household title of "always first to figure out the ending." In addition to the intrigue, she has a knack for drawing you into the plot so firmly you must read on. This is one read you will enjoy and will eagerly look forward to the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent as usual!, October 3, 1999

This book, as with all B.J. Hoff's novels is so well written it boggles the mind. Since this book is almost five years old, and written by an author who could whip one out once a month if need be, I sure would like to see the next two in print. PLEASE!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good suspense, with the Lord always present., September 20, 1999

I enjoyed this book, as I have all the BJ Hoff books I have read. I would like to see the other two books come available. I enjoy the history of the books as well as the story line. As with most of her books, I could not put this one down until I finished it.
