“When widower Charlie Rose shows up looking for work at the struggling Cotton Ranch, no one knows he’s secretly trying to outrun trouble—and he intends to keep it that way. He wants to start over fresh in the small town of Logan Meadows, where his blind daughter, Maddie, can grow up safe…and where danger can’t find him.”

Widowed at a very young age, Nell Page is trying, along with her brother Seth, to save the ranch from the clutches of the bank. She hires Charlie to help them with chores that are quickly piling up. She finds herself having feelings for this handsome cowboy that she never expected to feel again. Would it be possible to start over again? Charlie has secrets from the past that still haunt him. Will his past undermine their future?

This book grabs you quickly, and doesn’t want to let go. The intrigue of Charlie's past keeps you guessing, and as does the developing feelings between Charlie and Nell. The secondary characters round out the book and keep things interesting. I was especially drawn to Seth, Nell’s brother.

Caroline Fyffe is a new author for me, but not for long. I really like her writing style and ability to hold the reader’s attention. This story was wonderfully written and captivated me from the first page to the last. I appreciate how she shows the reader how important a family's love is. There were parts in this book that really tug at your heart. A compelling story.

Each of the books in this series has been well written and, although using the same people in the town and the surrounding ranches, each is different. First I like the fact that the stories are in the Equality State. Second I like the strong ladies who are the heroines. Yes, they are Romances, but they have substance and a plot.

This book had several twists and turns that I didn't expect especially the last one. I liked the characters very much, and enjoyed the references to the people I had met and admired in the previous books. That said, you can read and enjoy this book as a stand alone book without having read the others or without reading the others after ward. I think you will like Nell. I would like to go visit her with a house warming gift. She would make a great neighbor .

Enjoy!

Caroline Fyffe has done it again with another beautiful western that captures your heart. I wasn't particularly drawn to westerns till I read her books. They are heartfelt and tender. I adore the characters and feel like I know them personally. This story kept me guessing. At times I thought I knew how parts of the story would unfold, but I was wrong. Other parts were more predictable, but very sweet. Caroline's love of horses shows through too. I think there might be a little piece of Caroline inside of Nell. As always - I look forward to more!

A beautifully written story set in the late 1800's about sacrifice and determination. The storyline was well though out with very detailed characters that have great interactions. Two lonely hearts trying to deal with the challenges thrown at them and longing for things they think are out of reach. Am always eager to read books bu this author. They are wonderful stories.

I knew when I received the book that I would love the story and become wrapped up in the lives of the newest characters that Mrs. Fyffe had created and I did. Caroline Fyffe is my favorite author so I am always excited to read...or re-read her books.
In West Winds of Wyoming, I met Nell Page and Charlie Rose. Honestly, at first I was a little skeptical that I would come to like Nell through the course of the book. She seemed to be a little 'rough', I guess would be the right word. But before I made it into the third chapter, I loved her! She has such a big heart but that heart had seen a lot of tragedy and, like all of us, she wanted to protect herself. No matter how she tried, though, she couldn't help that thoughts of Charlie Rose snuck into her mind at times, more times than she would care to admit, thank you very much!
Charlie Rose had lost his wife and hit the road looking for a safe place to lay low and raise his daughter. A place to hide from some sort of trouble in his past. All he wanted when he happened to come across work at Cotton Ranch was to earn a wage that would allow him to get on his feet and provide his blind daughter could grow up happy and healthy. Nell doesn't know Charlie has a daughter or that he is running from his past. Charlie feels it necessary to keep his distance from his daughter until he is sure that trouble hasn't, and won't follow him to Logan Meadows.
Can Charlie trust Nell with his secrets, ask for her help and not let his heart get in the way? Will Nell allow her feelings for Charlie to surface once she finds out that he has lied and withheld a large part of his life from her?

I usually see one of Ms. Fyffe's books come out and I automatically hit buy. This one was no different I didn't even read the synopsis...so going in blind I started reading...sometimes authors hit the marks with their books and sometimes they don't. Which is okay. But I have yet to read a book of Ms. Fyffe's that I haven't loved. Her characters feel so real and that hasn't changed with West Winds of Wyoming...

Nell and Charlie's story is amazing how two people lost ones that they love and didn't think that they would find that again. Also how Greg and Brenna come together at happenstance...this story is amazing...I just hope that I don't have to wait long for the next book...
