We couldn't even get the slide bar installed due to the fact that we couldn't stop the main shower head from leaking in the first place!

Now after 6 months of use, only one of the shower head units is still working.

I have another one of this company's shower products, just the one handheld connection on a slide bar, not two, but it's the same connection to the water supply arm, same slide tube and same handheld shower head.

Per the accompanying directions, I hooked up the slide bar and shower to the water supply arm, then turned on the water. Like it is supposed to do, water sprayed very nicely from the shower head. Unfortunately, along with the water spraying into the tub from the shower head, it also sprayed heavily onto my drywall ceiling from the cheaply-made plastic connection that screws on to the water supply arm. (This would be the piece with the light grey, plastic handle.)

The company sent me a replacement part. After installation of the replacement part, all of the parts worked well...for a while. A few days ago, water once again began spraying all over the drywall ceiling, this time from the replacement part. Today, I pushed the slide bar upward, and that stopped the water from spraying on my ceiling. Instead, it began running down the slide arm.

The only time the handheld shower was removed was to rinse the tub, so frequent removal and replacement can't be blamed for weakening the fixture. Even if it were removed every time someone took a shower, it still should have held up. The plastic connection is not made well enough to hold the weight of the sliding arm, the hose, and the handheld shower. It is a serious flaw that could probably be taken care of by using better quality materials. Perhaps the plastic attachment part can't hold up under the frequent application of hot water.

I like the idea of the slide bar adjustment; it's a nice idea, but I've had this shower for less than six months, and I already have to replace it. I wasted my money.

Solid construction, not cheap junk. Quite the opposite. WE got it today and two of us have given it a try.

Very easy to install and use. AS a matter of fact, I have an autistic son who we are really trying to encourage more independence and the slide bar that brings the shower head down to his level. He could easily take the hand shower off and back on the slide bar. So terrific for kids or someone with special needs. No reaching up required.

The water pressure is not an issue and easily gets the job done but I've seen stronger. I am giving this still 5 stars because you really can't beat it for the money, it's a solid product and I'm thrilled that we could provide this for our special needs son at this price.

This shower head is probably the cheapest piece of junk I've ever spent $40.00 on! The connections are all plastic, the washers don't do much of a job in the first place. They have a special "lock nut" which is also plastic to hold the diverter in place. We couldn't even get the slide bar installed due to the fact that we couldn't stop the main shower head from leaking in the first place! Absolutely cheap outsourced materials and horrible instructions. For those who actually get one of these installed without one thing leaking or breaking, please share your installation process in detail.

Also, this wasn't a first time experience for me or my husband installing a shower head (handheld OR stationery!

I waited 6 months before posting my review. After receiving the item I realized that it was not all stainless steel but my shower experience had been enhanced. Now after 6 months of use, only one of the shower head units is still working. My knob was stuck and could not turn it anymore so I thought to myself "ok, let me lubricate it". Now the knob turns but still only the handheld shower head works. The other issue it has is that it leaks and sprays just about EVERYWHERE and makes a mess on my bathroom floor!!! Th seals that came with it did not stop it from leaking or spraying.

The thought behind the product was great but if only the parts work ALL stainless steel and built to last for well over a year.

I do not recommend this product only because it did not last.

Needed both stationary & handheld shower heads but could not afford high end fixtures. I installed this myself in about 15 minutes. I'm a 58 year old woman and fairly handy at DIY stuff. In a hurry and did not check for leaks before I finished installation--duh! So I had to take it apart and add some of the included plumbers tape to the threads of the water pipe. Otherwise, it would have taken 5 minutes. I don't think I could have found anything better for the money I paid. I have been very satisfied with this product and its functionality. I would recommend it for folks like me who can't afford to spend a lot--just check for leaks when the instructions tell you to!

This is the perfect solution. No drilling into tile, easy installation. I love that I can use the hand held or top shower or both which is my usual setting. I have looked for years (literally) to find this type of hand held shower with a slide bar. This is the only one of its kind. My only wish is that I could find it in oil rubbed bronze.

With some extra rubber washers (from the hardware store or junk drawer, can't remember) I managed briefly to get mine to not leak.

When moving the handheld part, no matter how delicately; it is very difficult not to impart some force around the threaded joint. The slide bar is supported entirely at the pipe connection which becomes a leverage point. I'm doubtful even the sturdiest metal lock-nut could keep it secure for long.

The S.O. had brought it home from BB&B and liked the concept. (She's short, I'm not.) Once a week it would come loose and flop around and leak. In the name of household tranquility I regularly re-aligned and tightened it; persevering for about three months until finally the diverter valve broke.

Bottom line: It's a cute, cheap alternative to the built-in diverters with wall-anchored slide bar; but the execution falls way, way short. Even with patience and resolve, it'll be hitting your trash can within half a year.
