Ford Windstar 1995-98 (Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual)

Though this manual provided general information on the Windstar, it's wiring diagrams lacked detail. I've been trying to toubleshoot a door ajar signal that won't turn off. The book didn't even mention the sensors location! It did mention how to adjust the door, but until I've identified the problem, that information is useless. I expected more.

I've basically liked the Chilton's manuals in the past, but this one for the 1995 Ford Windstar is horrible. Everytime I go to reference it I can't find an answer.

I don't give a damn how hard the author, Claus VonErpest, says he worked on this book. For an author to tell us to screw off if we don't like his book is inexcusable! I refuse to purchase anything from this author for the rest of my natural life. I am also contacting Chilton regarding the author's complete disregard for the people who have or who may purchase his work. Such an attitude indicated the true nature of the person making such comments. I highly recommend everyone avoiding the author at ALL costs.

The wiring diagrams were no help all .There was nothing about the rear washer/wiper,
nothing about the heater blower or the side door sensors. I will never buy another Chilton or
Haynes manual again.

I bought this book to fix an air bag problem on my 97 winddstar. It was of no help at all. How can i return or exchange this book for something that would help?

To the Gainesville FL person who tried to repair an air bag. Please call Nichols about the Chilton TCC at 800-695-1214 and an editor will speak with you about the airbag problem. Our people always try and help when needed. However, dealing with airbags can be very touchy and should only be done by an experienced person.

As USUAL, I bought ANOTHER of Claus VonErpest's books, this one for use with my '97 Windstar. His history as a motivational speaker, Pastor of his local church, and his reputation as an unflinching speaker of NON-POPULAR (un-PC) views precedes him. It is refreshing to see a man who is so WHOLE with himself speak his mind and tell his readers to 'piss off'. In fact, he told me, one time, at a Baptism he was performing, to 'go outside and play hide and go screw myself'!!! High compliments by a man so highly regarded in so many fields. His dedication to truth and honest, keen insight should make Chilton sit up and take notice, for they have a GOLDMINE of spiritual and metaphysical thought in their employ. This book is better than the Bible. That's all I would usually say about Claus VonErpest's most recent gem of self auto repair. God blessed us with him and his views and helpful attitiudes. In fact, I'm almost sure Claus VonErpest writes, speaks and acts with God's OWN words eminating from him. I bow in shame of the knowledge that I am REALLY not fit to even whisper his name without a tear in my eye.
