This DVD is very basic. It shows the tack, jibe and water start. Naish only speaks for a couple of minutes but does not teach. Only his teachers teach on the DVD. The DVD is only about 55 minutes. A good part of it is introduction and safety.
My expecations were higher. Would not buy it again.

I am a fairly new windsurfer that has read a few techniques and had many windsurfers help me out by giving me pointers and loaning me their boards etc., when mine were not good for learning. I've even managed to sail and steer and turn around etc.
This video is terrible because it not only has a long and pointless introductory section, but also because they tell you to sail while holding onto the mast while one foot is actually in front of it in some sort of "Warrior Stance" that is just ridiculous. It is so silly. Sure, you will set sail, but you won't be able to do much else in that stance. (I tried just to see.) I turned off the video and took it back to the library since even a newbie like me, could see that it was junk. I considered throwing it in the trash to spare any other new windsurfers from being exposed to such garbage, but decided I did not want to pay for the disc. Glad I did not come across this video first, before I learned some very basic stuff. I still remember the silly checklist they were going through that made me take the disc out of my player i.e. "Aggressive Warrior Stance..." yeah right.

poor video. old school. goofy instructor with a funny accent.
they should not sell this any longer. it hurts my feelings as a fellow windsurfer..
cheap buy though.
