I have used two Windtunnels for several years and replaced the brushes in each with great improvement. Now this wooden brush comes along and many retailers/sellers are still showing a picture of the original Windtunnel brush. Two reviewers noted that the brush is not what is pictured. Although this is a genuine Hoover replacement it is NOT what is pictured. More importantly, my experience has been that it does not clean as well as the original brush (which is still avaiable - in fact Hoover still sells Windtunnels with the twisted brush)

The orginal brush had raised brushes for a gentle "beating" action. In my opinion it worked much better. Some retailers on Amazon are honest enough to show what they are selling. Just be aware that what is pictured is not necessarily what you will get and, in my opinion, will not work as well as the original brush.

I love my Hoover Windtunnel Vacuum, but unfortunately, it eats belts on a regular basis. Being unable to find the parts locally, I searched Ebay and found United Vacuum. Their site was easy to navigate and find the parts that I needed. The parts were very cheap compared to other sites that I visited. I received the parts quickly and the belts fit great. I was up and running in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the replacement brush roll that I ordered had been damaged in shipping (thanks UPS). I was pretty busy that week, so I waited till the weekend to email their customer service. I figured that someone would reply in a few days. Boy was I wrong, a customer service representative called me in about 20 Minutes! This was on a Saturday! He let me know they were sending me a replacement brush roll immediately. Wow! If you need vacuum cleaner parts, buy them here. Don't waste your time and money anywhere else.

This roller brush appears to be an after-market replacement. It's made of wood and is a completely round cylinder. The original Hoover roller brush in my vacuum is made of plastic and is shaped like a twisted ribbon. I assume the original design was intended to improve air-flow/suction. The new round wooden replacement appears to work OK though and it was less expensive, so I'm keeping it.

A very cheap replica that does not resemble the picture at all. It's made of wood, tolerances are not acceptable, will wear the belt down much faster. Not recommended.

Not original equipment. Original had strong resin core, replacement is rough wood. Not what was expected although it fit and works, just OK

Just like others have posted, this is not like the original hoover brush that came on the vacuum. The price is great and I was able to get free shipping too. The vacuum parts store wanted $40. It works well enough, better than the old brush which was at least 10 years old. So now I have replaced both filters, the belts and the brush. It's like a brand new vacuum.

I ordered this Hoover replacement brush based on the picture. It looked exactly like the original brush. A molded curved plastic. What I received is a straight solid wood piece, painted black with brush glued in. Amazon should not rely on customers to find out for themselves.

If ever you need vacuum cleaner parts this is the place to go. Courteous and professional. Will always come back here to shop.

The locals wanted more than 3 times the price I paid here. This part was exactly what I needed, and was so fairly priced (including shipping), that I bought two. When it arrived, it fit right in with no problem. The vendor also communicated the fact that he wanted to make sure that you were a happy camper, and if there were any problems whatsoever, to please contact him. It wasn't necessary. Highly recommended!!

I LOVE IT! The vacuum works great now! The vacuum actually pulls itself forward on the carpet and it is like a brand new vacuum! Make sure when replacing you have the vacuum brush setting on the "floor" not carpet settings. This is in the operational manual also. It is a wonderful part. WORKS EXCELLENT!

The company I got it from was great in customer service too. I sent email when the brush didn't show up after a few weeks. They send a replacement out that same day. I am not sure what happened to the original order, but it never arrived. Wonderful service. GREAT!
