About the Author
Gerald C. Hammon survived twenty years employment with the Federal Government and and decided to write creatively for fun instead of obtusely for regulations. His interest in wine led him to research books available to the public. Most read like college texts. Many concerned themselves with the latest vintages (which were usually sold out before their books reach the market). Wine 101 is written for other amateurs in hopes they won't have to plow through as much chaff as he did for a basic understanding of wine.

"Wine 101", how can you beat this title? It was a wonderful and informative book. I really liked the information about what wines went with various food categories. This book really helps when you take a date out to dinner and you know which wine to choose. I enjoy the light hearted, one-liners of Gerald Hammon.
