It certainly seals the decanter well. It's almost impossible to get out with my large, aging fingers.

This was purchased along with the Vivid wine decanter but the stopper is not quite large enough and goes too far into the neck of the decanter thus making it very tricky to get out. It does a good job of stopping air getting in but is just too difficult to remove.

I purchased this with the Wine Enthusiast Vivid Decanter because Amazon recommended it. Well, it works and makes a tight seal. Unfortunately, the seal is so tight and the stopper sits so far down in the neck the only way to get it out (safely) is to tip the decanter and pour the stopper out.

So, it works, but it could have been designed better.

This wine stopper was too small for the wine decanter that I ordered so make sure you order the right size for your size decanter. It is quite pretty though.

I've been looking for a good stopper for my wine decanter and thought that I had found the right one here as the description of the product dimensions is "3.2 x 3.2 x 3.2 inches". For my decanter, that size would sit nicely in the mouth but not so far down that it would be hard to remove. Unfortuneately the actual diameter is 2-5/8 inches which is considerably smaller than the description. There is a small flat on the bottom which is nice so that you can put it down and not have to constantly stop it from rolling.

I gave it the average rating it currently has. As a stopper it would work fine in a smaller mouthed decanter but most of the decanters I see today have a larger opening.

I bought this as a added gift for my best friend's decanter Christmas present. It looks wonderful and works quite well. She's happy with it and, therefore, so am I.

This item arrived in a timely fashion. I found it to be unacceptable! It was poorly finished, with noticable grooves on it. I returned the stopper through Amazon's Return Department. I opted for a refund, which was credited rather quickly.
