Product Description

As Featured on CHOW.com Voted Best Wine Preservation System Your opened wine's blanket of protection. Endorsed by some of the country's best-known wine critics this system uses 100% inert gas (non-toxic) to remove all of the oxygen from your opened bottle. Preserve your wine's freshness in 4 easy steps. 1) Insert included tube securely into nozzle with a twisting motion. 2) Place the tip of the tube into the neck of the bottle midway down and against the glass. 3) Have cork or stopper ready on top of bottle resting against the tube. 4) Spray for 1/2 of a second and then 4 shorter bursts both quickly pull the tube out and insert cork or stopper into the bottle. An amazing 120-plus uses in 1 can. Remember in order to keep your wine fresh you have to seal your wine bottles with a stopper such as our All Purpose Wine Stoppers (sold separately).

5.0 out of 5 stars Use with Wine Pourer/Stopper Combination, September 26, 2010
This review is from: Wine Enthusiast Private Preserve Wine Preservation Spray
It takes me a week to drink a bottle of red wine. I tried this wine preservation gas and it works well, but you have to add the gas after each pour -- so the gas doesn't last very long. When you pour a glass of wine, you also pour out some of the gas and you have to add more gas. I bought a wine stopper/pourer combination made by Oxo. After I open the bottle I pour a glass of wine and put on the stopper. Then I add plenty of the wine preserver gas through the stopper valve and close the stopper lever. When I pour the next glass, I invert the bottle first and then open the stopper lever gradually. This lets the wine trickle out and prevents any of the gas from escaping. I don't have to add more gas. It works well for me. The gas includes Argon, which is heavier than air and settles on the surface of the wine after each pour. Store the opened bottle upright on a stable surface, not in refrigerator door.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good wine should not have to go to waste!, January 8, 2009

I love wine. My husband does not love wine. I cannot drink (nor should I drink) a bottle of wine my myself every night and manage to feel human the next day. This saves me the guilt of pouring my darling vino down the drain. I've used it a couple times. I opened a bottle, went out of town for a WEEK, and decided to see how the red wine had fared when I got back. Not GREAT, but not BAD. I've had this same type of wine become undrinkable in just a few days (I'm picky), so I know this inert gas helps. It's not a miracle... or, maybe it is!

5.0 out of 5 stars works well in wine making as well, October 18, 2009

Works not only for preserving leftover wine but also in the wine making process. I added this to my carboy while bulk aging as a cheaper alternative to topping off the carboy with finished wine.
