Pulltap's Double-Hinged Waiters Corkscrew

I hate the elaborate, bulky and complex type of wine opener. This small gadget works extremely well, because of the dual "steps" in the bottle brace, allowing two different angles for the lever pull.

This is the best wine opener you will find out there. Tried out many other ones at my job and this one works the best. Other servers/bartenders like this one as well.

This was recommended by a Wine Collector who said it was the best there is. It is easy to use and compact enough to pack easily for trips.

PROS:
+ Solid construction.
+ Sleek design.

CONS:
- Doesn't automatically replenish wine in the empty bottle after I drink it all.

NOTES:
I am a bartender for a catering company and I've only used this at one gig so far, so the durability verdict is still out. It seems pretty solid though, so I expect this to stick around for awhile.

Ordered the Wine Enthusiast Pulltap thinking it was an original Pulltex because the product description matched the description on the Wine Enthusiast's website. However, we received a poor imitation from Tapp Collection Inc.; which we promptly returned.

Corkscrew appears to be Pulltap's style, but is not actually a Pulltap's. Still works well enough, but not equal in quality to the Pulltap's I've owned in the past.

I bought this for my boyfriend, who raved about these types of corkscrews. I usually hate opening bottles of wine, but with this it's so easy! Much nicer than the ones that you push down on the two arms. Plus, it looks nice.

I just got this in the mail today. It's going back tomorrow. When I ordered it I was expecting to get a true "Pulltap's" made by Pulltex in Spain, as the product description indicates, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I believe it's a no-name knockoff of the original. I'm sorry I can't give you a review of how the product actually works because I am returning it before using it. I can say it seems to look as though it will do the job of removing a cork, although I don't know how well since I haven't tried it. Looking at the fit-n-finish so to speak, it's not the greatest, but isn't terrible either. Although I haven't used it and am not really qualified to give any rating on how this product functions, I'm giving it 3 stars because it's required to submit a review, and because I believe it will do the job intended, but I am disappointed by the seller's misrepresentation of the product. I simply wanted to write a review to let others know what they were buying. Other product listings for this type of corkscrew will say that they sell a pulltap's STYLE corkscrew, indicating it's not the real deal. This listing doesn't, but it should.

While the product seems to work fine for now. It does seem a little flimsy. It is a Chinese knockoff. Go somewhere else if you are looking for the original product.

I received an imitation corkscrew, albeit in a nice box. It was made in china and feels cheap. Very disappointed. I'm just going to find one in a store, I suggest you do as well.
