The packaging was decent, but when I removed the glass, I noticed how thin the actual glass was., I made the ice, and by the next day was ready to try this out. Well, the glass broke while being rinsed out. This is made so cheaply. A drink glass should feel substantial in your hand. THIS IS JUNK!! Don't waste your money. If you hold the glass firmly, it will crumble in your hade and draw blood.

It is an ok item. It looks cheap in person. Idea is good and packageing is great, but the glass has little imperfections here and there and very thin glass and light. I was little dissapointed about the quality of the glass.

I got this as a birthday present yesterday. Sometime between pouring my first drink and finishing it the glass developed a nasty crack. I'm pretty sure it wasn't cracked before I poured the Jameson, only set the glass down, carefully, a few times, and was shocked when I saw what you'll see in the attached video.

Apparently a number of other customers have experienced the same thing; this glass cracking almost immediately and for no apparent reason.

On the plus side is this glass and the accompanying round ice cube look interesting. Admittedly, it even looks interesting *with* the crack but I wouldn't want to keep using it. Maybe you'll be lucky and it won't crack. However, I'm not sure I would want to bet on it.

My recommendation is to avoid this product.

The glass is nice, but very fragile. It shattered when putting the ice ball into it (normally placed, not dropped from a tall height or anything like that).

This is a good idea, but the glass is very thin. After using this glass for several weeks, treating it gently and hand washing after use, I noticed a star crack on the side of the glass. If I had misused the glass I might have bought a replacement, but I can't recommend this one due to its poor quality.

The very first time I used this glass as it was intended, I dropped the ice ball into the glass where it was deflected off the glass protrusion on the bottom and into the thin wall of the glass, fracturing it badly. I didn't toss the ice ball in with any force, I just dropped it from the level of the glass's rim straight down. So, if you do buy this for yourself or as a gift, do be extremely careful to tip the ice ball gently over the rim while holding the glass at an angle. Or better yet, don't buy it at all!

The more i drink out of these the more i like them. If you are more than a 1 glass of scotch man such as myself, you may want to consider buying an extra ice ball mold. Honestly though, by the time I am done with the first glass, I could give rats ass about how the ice looks and regular cubes work fine!

This is a cool idea, and it works great for cooling off the whiskey quickly. However, as we all know, ice waters down your whiskey. If you're using a cask strength, this might be OK. Generally, it's not. Part of the problem is that the ice ball is too big for a sensible amount of whiskey.

If there was a silicone or soapstone ice ball available, I would use that with the glass and it might make for a better experience.

Also, the glass has a logo etched on it. It shows this in the picture now, but didn't when I bought it. This is kind of lame.
