5.0 out of 5 stars Wine & Roses March 5, 2012
By Beth
Format:Kindle Edition
Not many romance novels deal with the issue of an aging single woman who is attractive because of her age, and I found this topic very refreshing. The sizzling love scenes are well conceived and composed, and I relished every word of them. There were some twists in the plot that I didn't expect, and I enjoyed the way the ghost story interweaved with the love story, culminating in a powerful and absorbing ending. I highly recommend this novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love is ageless August 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
WINE & ROSES is a light paranormal story about a widow determined to live an independent life after spending twenty-years in a loveless marriage. But her attraction to Jason, a man nine years younger than she is, takes her by surprise, as much as the strange things happening in the old inn she's just restored. I enjoyed the mix of emotion and humor, and the character of Abby who's trying to hide her inner insecurities and gives in to her second chance at passion. Jason is a fantastic hero, charming and generous. The author transports us into a lovely setting of wineries and old inns with her smooth writing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even Better January 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved Divided Hearts, but this one is even better, with a setting and characters that captured my imagination.
The older woman/younger man scenario was refreshing and realistically portrayed, with some sizzling hot scenes. I also liked the spooky elements!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable read November 4, 2012

I really liked this book. It was shorter than the books that I normally read but I thought it was very well written and entertaining. I have never read anything from this author. I am glad that I have a new author to add to my list.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacklustre... November 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The plot of this book sounded fresh and quite intriguing, but the execution just didn't deliver for me, to the extent that I couldn't finish it. The writer's style is way too wordy and this prevented the story from flowing well. I can understand another reviewer's criticism that it seemed 'too formal'.

The most annoying thing I found about this story, however, was the voice of the hero; his speech and thoughts were presented as if he were a woman. It turned me right off him; no alpha male there! Personally, I think this author would do much better if she stuck to the feminine POV only.

In all, just too 'meh'... I returned it for a refund.

2.0 out of 5 stars I could not finish this book October 30, 2012

It was too stiff and formal for my liking. I normally do not publish a review unless I am able to finish the book but thought I would share my thoughts about this one. I deleted it from my Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Story of love.
A good love story without explicit sex. What a concept. I need to write a few more words before Amazon will accept it. That should be enough.
