I installed an Antennas Direct DB8 Multidirectional HDTV Antenna in my attic using this pipe mount. It's lightweight and sturdy. The J-shape made it simple to put the antenna perfectly vertical. I installed it on a 25-degree angled crossbeam. When the bolts are secured, it is completely rigid and sturdy.

A simple product--but the right one for the task of installing a large HDTV antenna.

Note of caution: When you're walking around in your attic among the rafters and dusty insulation, wear shoes with good traction! My Vans landed me flat on my back, and it hurt.

Very stable when lag bolted to the side of the house. Easy to adjust. Sturdy. Good finish. Looks like it will last a long time.

It is an antenna mount - very heavy duty and has a good finish on it. The pole is removable from the base and one can mount it from either end creating unlimited flexibility.

The pipe diameter is larger than normal - make sure that your U-bolt and clamps are big enough to fit the pipe.

I purchased this mount for a repeater antenna. I also purchased it because the picture makes it look like a white finish - it is NOT white, it is gray like my DIRECTV dish. The quality is good, but it does not come with the lag bolts. I would recommend the product, but make sure the purchaser knows the true color is not as shown in the picture.

I needed this for my dish antenna,I needed to mount my dish on my attached deck and aim it back across the top of the house,this fit the bill perfectly,it was either use this mount or put the dish on the front of my house which I didn't want to do because it would have looked awful.This mount is made very sturdy and has holes on both ends of the pole so you can attach it either way,if you need a little more height on your dish or antenna this will work perfectly.

I used this product to mount a new weather station I had purchased. I was very pleased with it construction, light weight, and ease of installation. I highly recommend it. A really great buy.

I would like to say it is compatible with SS-2000 Winegard Square Shooter antennas. The J Pipe is 40" long and does give it a nice 1.5 to 2FT high boost to it (sorry did not measure it). I was able to pick up more channels from Los Angeles, CA channel that I live over 60 miles away. My antenna was installed outside in near the roof of my house. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the built quality and ease of installation. I just unscrew the mount to remove the pipe and screw it back to my SS-2000 mount.

I would get this mount over the other 40" J Pipe that cost a lot more. Oh... it does come with a 1 page manual.

Bottom line, it's a pipe and serves it's purpose. If you find it on sale and less expensive than other similar ones, then buy it.

Possible differentiators:
1. Length - this is a longer one at about 3 1/2'
2. Color is more gray rather than what the picture shows which is closer to white
3. You can easily flip the pipe so the bend is closer to the mounting point or the bend is closer to the other end. Depending on your application, it may be more convenient to mount one way or the other.

One thing I did not like - mounting bolts were not included, so you will need to make a trip to Home Depot or Lowes and pick a few up. In the instructions, they clearly suggest the size to use - so for the additional 50 cents for two of them (that includes a 100% profit margin)- why not include them?

Ours is mounted in the attic from a rafter and pointing downward with the bend flipped around closer to the non-mounting end. We have an Antennas Direct DB8 antenna mounted to it and it works perfectly for our use.

Would have given 5 stars had the mounting bolts been included.

Update:
I've been so happy with the setup of the antenna/pipe and the reception we're getting, I purchased a second of each to point in another direction to pull in even more stations.

This product works perfect in my case where I wanted an unobtrusive way to place a digital antenna on the side of my house.

I like it! A truthful description every now and then is a good thing. Strong, lightweight, galvanized. I'm happy with it. It would've been "nice" to get some bolts with it but, in reality, these folks don't know how you're going to use it. It was a good purchase for me and after a quick trip to the H/W store it's complete.
