I bought this at the same time I bought the elevating shaft assembly, and I'm glad I did. It turned out that both the worm gear on the elevating shaft and this elevating gear were both stripped. They are plastic gears, so they strip easily. As with the worm shaft, both parts arrived within three days, were the correct part, and were easy to install. Amazon is the place to order RV parts.

This elevating gear was easy to install, allowed my antenna to be moved both up and down (imagine that!). Does all that I ask it to do.

Bought old class C. The previous owner was a 'farmer rigger' and the antennae was 'rigged' The PVC he used broke. (Don't ask) So I climbed up there and disassembled the antennae. He used steel (not aluminum) square piping. Very heavy. He drilled a bunch of holes and bought a new a antennae, King Controls Sensor Antenna Replacement that came with a bracket. Why the original tubes were not used, not sure. Maybe he forgot to lower antennae. Actually, he did not use the antennae. 'Rigged' a satellite connection. (Don't ask).
Long story, but I probably did not need this, but the old one had been 'modified' and I did not want to take a chance.
Worked great! Used in conjunction with Winegard RP-2900 Elevator Tube assemble (also purchased on Amazon) and works great. With the Internet, Google and Amazon, why 'rig' anything?????

This product is a huge money saver. No need to replace the entire antenna, when all you really need is this gear.

There's not much that can be said about this part except that its a breeze to change out. I had the part changed out in less than 5 minutes and watching T.V. in less than 10 minutes. i would recomend this repair to any person before i spent money to have the local RV center charge you an arm and a leg to do the repair.

I bent my old gear when I tried to back out of the RV garage with the antenna up. I thought I would have to buy a whole new assembly. The old one came out and the new one went in very easily. It did just what it should and made the job very easy. The part arrived right when scheduled.

This item was the exact part I needed and it installed very easily. I would order it again if I needed another one. The down side is that this part is easily (will be) damaged if you forget to lower the antenna BEFORE driving away.

Just another dumb mistake dont forget the antenna while RVing it will cost you. Snapped this when leaving the park along with the hub. Another quick ship from Amazon with no mistakes.
