No more Cranking Up for Me ! You just push a button and listen for the sound of the antenna
searching out the Required Satalites..(3 in at a time)..Don't compromise..Buy the Best and get the Best !
(i am finished being stingy with myself) -Quality costs a bit more but equals better chance of getting the Best Performance
from a well designed & engineered product.

This is the only option if you want DIRECTV HD. HD is a must when watching sports with a group of people at a tailgate. It was very easy to assemble and operate. It works as advertised and found all 5 satellites in minutes. I don't even have an RV. I just attached it to a board and put it in the back of my SUV. I set it on the ground by the grill at the tailgate and have HD football on multiple TVs in minutes!

Box was received in great condition and packed well. Brought to dealer to install. Purchased this one due to price savings and only HD dish offered by DirectTV. I had to have HD--we have 3 tvs, 2 HD in motorhome!

This will be the third SK-3005 we've purchased. The first was for a new motorhome we bought 4 years ago, then one for a fifth wheel trailer and now for another motorhome. I can't speak to the ease of installation since the dealers have done that part for me but as to the ease of use, it couldn't be simpler. Just push one button once at the campsite and in a few minutes the dish is locked on the signal. Bringing it back sown is just as easy. In between, nothing. No adjusting, no fiddling with anything.

Trav'ler mounted on the roof, one button does it all...we used to use a tripod and spend hours trying to get a signal...and the high level of frustration was not good for happy times with us on a trip. common sense, you have to have a clear shot to the South...this does the rest and is HD compatible. Just do it!

I installed the product myself. There is little technical work. Mostly you need to get your placement to avoid obstacles on the RV's roof. You can print out an installation manual on line to plan with before buying the antenna. The rest is drilling holes, screwing screws and waterproofing your work. I can't understand why Camping World wants over $300 for an installation.
The product works well and Winegard's help desk was very competent. When doing my initial work, there were a lot of trees between the antenna and the satellites. Just for grins, I turned it on and the pointing system found the satellites. Of course, the signal was lousy going through the trees, but the pointing system did in fact find the satellites under very adverse conditions. It works perfectly when you have a clear view of the southern sky.
My house uses "SWM" technology. You can tell from the box out by the installation - says "SWM" and that your DVR will have only one satellite wire going to it. If you have this technology, you need to buy a SWM kit from Winegard or run in two wires, get two B band converters (not expensive) and alter the settings on the DIRECTV DVR. The procedure is covered perfectly in Winegard's installation manual. Be sure to write down the old settings for returning to the house.

This Dish worked great. Finds the three satellites quickly and the picture is very clear. Had an RV Dealer install it on my RV and had no problems. Took the dealer two and a half hours to install.
