I bought my husband several wine games for Christmas and this was our least favorite. I personally like the games that have more strategy to them. This game is pretty simple. Roll the dice, move the cork, answer the question or taste the wine. While there are so cards that allow you to do extra things, with just two people it isn’t all that fun. We will use this game to help us learn more about wine. Not using the questions but by picking 3 very similar wines. Like a Cab from three different parts of the world. But overall there are better ways to learn wine and there are better games that include wine.

The trivia is challenging but overall easy enough that a beginner could compete by guessing or using common logic to answer. Also, the trivia covers a wide range of wine-related topics. You can make the game more or less challenging by the wines you choose. It is really educational and fun. It also doesn't take too long to play, I would say 45 min to an hour. And, if you're just a couple, the game works fine with only 2 players. In addition, the game materials (game peices, tasting cards, board, etc.) are all high quality and beatifully colorful. I highly recommend this game as a gift for a fellow wine lover or yourself!

Torn on this review. This is not a drinking game like beer pong or flip cup. This is a trivia game of advanced wine knowledge, the answers to most things we couldn't even pronounce. I may be to blame for expecting something it is not but that is what i was hoping for.

If you are looking for high end obscure wine trivia this is your game.

If you want a fun drinking game this is not it.
