Definitely good value for the money! The book offers a different and independent point of view, very down-to-earth written, and even me not being a Wing Chun adept, but just a martial arts enthusiast found it interesting and unconventional.

This review is from: Wing Chun: Unusual Discoveries Behind the Common Belief (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for those that are searching for their path in the mist of martial art of Wing Chun. It gathers the essence of the principles of the martial art and puts them in simple and astonishingly surprising way in the form of pure practical wisdom.
I would greatly recommend this book for those that would like to know about the view of a Wing Chun coach who traveled the difficult path of self finding in the mysterious ways of the art. If you are looking for answers of the everlasting questions about which subsystem or substyle is the one to follow. If you are looking for answer on the questions about the true descendant of the great Ip Man, you might be able to find it in the pages of this book ... or not ... but let's not take away the pleasure of reading it.
Reading trough the pages you might find your own self as a Wing Chun trainee or find the missing link which would put for you on display the invisible secret of one of the most sophisticated among the martial arts.
You would find explanation of the very basic principles and key concepts behind every of the training practices. It is something that you might not catch even in the training school of a great master. This book would give it to you and if you are open enough for this book's wisdom you will benefit from it.
It was a very refreshing and breathtaking experience for me to read this book.
I hope this book is just a beginning and definitely would read more from this author.
Happy reading!

It's short and basic but very, very good and entertaining. It answers a lot of questions one might have about the art of Wing Chun and its offshoots and branches... For me it answered about 80% of the "why and what for?" types of questions I had. The author does a really good job of explaining the essentials of training in a way that makes me want to go out to train and explore the art of Wing Chun even more. I recommend this book to anyone interested in Wing Chun at any level. If you have not read this book, it is certainly worth reading.
