I find lyn andrews refreshing and on the grand scale of catherine cookson. This book is a good clean read, and makes you think of how lucky you are not to have been in England during the war.

Clean, sweet romance, July 8, 2008
I will admit that I don't fancy romance novels or fiction. But, I saw this book on a clearance rack. I purchased it for two reasons-- one, I liked the title, and two, it is set during WWII, an era I like to read about. However, once I started reading it, I could hardly put it down.
This book was well written. The character development was excellent. The description of the bombings was magnificent. I could almost feel like I was witnessing it myself.
One mistaken "fact" I saw was that Harry was killed while driving his Corvette, sometime before 1947. The first Corvette wasn't made until 1953.
I liked the fact that it was a good, clean, romance. I think one reason I've never been able to get into romance novels was the explicitness of many of them. This wasn't at all like that and was even classy.
I look forward to reading more books by this author.
