Book Description

SHE JUST WANTS TO FLY
Ever decided to do something that seemed like a good idea and in the second before there's no turning back think, I musta been totally mental when I came up with this? And, then, Oh, well, here goes.

That's how Angel-In-Training Grace Lightbourne felt right before she asked the Big Kahuna to go straight to Earth on a mission as a Guardian Angel. The problem? She never was a great student and now she won't even finish her last three years of school. To make matters worse, Archangel Michael isn't happy about her special assignment, but Grace is convinced she's on a fast track to her wings. How hard can it be? She's working with humans, after all.

Winging It!, the first book in the Angel-in-Training series, is an irreverent, light hearted take on Angels, Heaven and everything else that's divine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Winging It! March 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Winging It! was such a cute, funny book! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. I really enjoyed the author's style of writing. It was very fresh and fun.

Grace Lightbourne is an Angel-In-Training (AIT) who just wants her wings and is willing to try just about anything to get them early.

I really liked Grace's character. She was such a sweet, naive girl trying to do her best while avoiding studying. Pretty soon, though, she's in over her head and has to learn a few lessons quick or be faced with becoming a "wingless-one." (pretty much the worst thing she can imagine)

Seeing Grace try to fit in with the Murphy's was pretty hilarious, but my favorite thing about the book was the little stuff like: The way Grace viewed everything and the figures of speech that she would use (They were so original and funny), or the Hierarchy of the Celestial Beings. I felt like I had a huge smile on my face almost the whole time I was reading it.

Also, the story itself was interesting and I couldn't help but root for Grace.

Overall, I found it to be a lighthearted, witty book and I'll definitely be reading the sequel!

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the read! April 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, a not-so-perfect angel in training going to Earth to help a high school girl to earn her wings. I like her human-like characteristics, she goofs up a little, she procrastinates, she's maybe a bit too interested in another male angel, but she's got her heart in the right place. Heaven and its inhabitants are humourously described through her eyes as just another place, some fun stuff, some humdrum...
Would recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wingin' It Review- GREAT! November 21, 2012
By Jenna
Format:Kindle Edition
I want to take a moment to encourage readers of any age to read this book. It could be a little complex for readers under the age of ten though. The book is directed for all ages; never suggesting anything inappropriate. The main character does fall in love, but everything is kept on the down-low. I read this book throughout every little minute. This is a great book and I feel so fortunate to have read it!
