I received a copy of this book from the Author for an honest review.

Vampires, Werewolves, Fae, Demons, Ancient Greeks and less we forget Native tribes, this novella is jammed packed with all kinds of paranormal goodness. I am not sure how the Author was able to create such a great story in only a few pages! The characters we meet are so well developed they are full of life and able to breathe on their own. Yes, there is a bit of gore and horror, but what would you expect when your main characters are trying to save the world?

There are quite a few characters in this book to start, but in the end the only two who stand out will be Lea and Alexander. All others pale in comparison. Lea, a princess of the original Neuri tribe is hidden amongst the Fae. Until a fated meeting with Alexander, she has no idea what and who she really is or is to become. Alexander, the newest Chief of the Neuri tribe, is sent to be not only Lea's guide but her destined mate. In an epic story we learn the history of the Strigoi as well as how the Werewolf came to be. I still can't believe the author pulled all of this off in a novella! Yes it was a bit wham bam thank you mam of a romance thrown in but that just kept it spicy! Would love to see more!

I downloaded this book when it was free on amazon.

Let me say that this book was a good read, but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because there could be some improvement. The way that the two main characters met Lea and Alex I thought there was going to be more spark, more romantic gestures with them two. I felt the relationship they had was purely based on looks and that they "had" to be together because of destiny.
I also found Lea too okay with fighting with the pack, I guess I would have thought her to ask more questions than just jumping into it.
I also was not happy with reading about a battle, then the next you know it is over. It seemed to me as though parts of the book were missing.

I have never read about a hybrid before in a book so this was a first for me and the author did a really good job with it.

Wingless and Damned has a GREAT story line, and the characters were quite enjoyable to read and the sex part was great. Where this story left off I can tell and I hope that there will be another book to this one. I do want to see if Lea and Alex will succeed with their mission.

I received this book from the author for my honest review!

My Opinion:

When I was asked to read this book and review it I first looked it up on amazon and read the reviews. There were alot of 5 star reviews and the description it didn't quite seem like something I would like to read about. But I give every book a equal chance to catch my attention and this one did very quickly. Lets all admit that this kind of book genre isn't very popular well the paranormal part is.There was some parts of this book that I was confused about because of the wording but other then that I thought it was memorizing. The love between Alex and Lea was dreamy. With the history behind this book, I think made what it is and helped the plot a lot. This author has a promising future, one that I look forward to reading.

At the start, we meet Ciarra, the tribal healer, doing her best in a bad situation by performing a spell on tribesmen that will turn them into werewolves. Unfortunately, there's no way to turn them back, as her spirit guides tell her. But at that moment, a mysterious man, Aison, comes out of the forest and grabs Ciarra, taking her to a cave deep in the woods, where his brethren, the Strigoi, those beings the werewolves were created to kill, are waiting. Aison and the others force Ciarra to alter the spell, forever cursing all future members of her tribe to become weres at 26 years old, as they have kidnapped the pregnant leader's wife, Kimi, as leverage. Ciarra is attacked by the other Strigoi, and Aison turns her, but not before Kimi gives birth and dies. Ciarra saves the baby and gives her to two Fae, enslaved by the Strigoi, to protect in their world until the time is right for her to meet her tribal mate and help bring down the original Strigoi. Years later, we meet Lea, the "wingless Fae" from the prophecy, and her story continues from there.

I really enjoyed this book, as there were lots of supernatural elements that I found really interesting. There are Strigoi, werewolves, Fae, tribal curses, spirit guides, etc., and it was really fun to read. However, I feel it would've been better had it been longer, as there were several instances I thought were rushed, such as the battle in the woods between the werewolves and Strigoi. I think it would've made a great novel, including a little more depth to the battle, the tribe's way of life and coping with the curse, etc. However, I still liked it a lot, and I look forward to more.

4 stars
