I purchased the product just for fun. I used it for one night. Each time I tested my BAC the reading was different. In fact, after the first beer it read a .05. However, after my fourth beer it read a .00. Obviously it was wrong. Also, the LCD screen fogged at first and then it just plain stopped working correctly. Not the best product - but in the world of electronics, you get what you pay for.

Bought this cause it had one bad review and one good. I will give it it's second bad review. Within 2 mins it gave me 0.0, 0.2, 0.8, 0.1, etc. If it was close it would have been one thing, but it isn't even close.

I bought two of these devices, and neither one has been accurate. It has given readings of 0.00 even after having several drinks in your system which, according to charts on the internet [...]should have resulted in a .07 reading. You cannot rely upon this product to make decisions about your condition to drive.

Well I wanted to get this to just check for my BAC and it doesnt do a very thorough job. I guess it's alright for a rough idea of how punished you are but do not rely on it to tell you are sober enough to drive. Its alright for fun which is what i wanted it for but I did not care for it when I actually wanted to know what my BAC was. I managed to get a DANGER sign on it which i thought was pretty funny (no driving for me until the next night) but it gives mixed results and the difference between .02 and .05 is pretty significant and I should not have been able to get them both within 5 minutes. Only buy if you want it for fun dont rely on it.

I purchased this as a stocking stuffer. Friends were over having a few drinks and we tried it out. It seemed to work fine, (although I don't know what anyone would have blown on a police tester).
No one blew above a .05 and that seemed about right.
I like that you don't have to put your mouth directly on the device,
so that various people were able to try it.

I bought this to use at my fiance's 30th birtday party for some games that we were playing so we were not relying on the information to be completely accurate, we were just having fun. That seems to be a good thing since the info it gave varied wildly, it could give different answers back to back for the same person. We didn't care though, we had a lot of fun with it at a brewery, and we were a hit with other people outside our group who wanted to try it out. If you're looking for the equivalent of a toy this is a nice, inexpensive option. If you are looking for accurate results, I would go with a higher quality (read: more expensive)model.

It was very simple to use but did not work it would always give different readings everytime even if you tried it within a few minutes. DOESNT WORK GOOD

First of all, the breathalyzer doenst come with batteries, which is just inconvenient.

second of all. it doesnt work at all. i pushed the power button and all it does is make an incessant beeping noise. nothing even came up on the LCD screen. i would send it back for a refund, except that i'd have to pay for the shipping and handling. I'd end up spending more money trying to send this piece of crap back when it'd just be cheaper to chunk it in the trash. which is what i did.

THIS PRODUCT SUCKS. DONT BUY IT.

First of all, this device has a huge design flaw. The area where you blow in isn't separated from the lcd screen, so when you blow into it, you get condensation on the inside restricting your view of the output.

This would be a very big problem if there was output worth reading. After having 4+ people try this thing, each having had various levels of alcohol, the only values we got were 0.00 or 0.19. Both of these were definitely incorrect.

Piece of junk. Luckily I didn't waste too much money on it. Do Not Buy. I'm getting a better one (more than $10, haha) and hopefully that will work!

All cheap breathalyzers use semiconductor technology which is not accurate or reliable from test to test or minute to minute. Don't waste your money. If you want a good personal breathalyzer remember you get what you pay for. Law enforcement uses fuel cell sensing which is both accurate and reliable.
