This review is from: Wings to Awakening, The: An Anthology from the Pali Canon (Paperback)
I have read numerous Buddhist tomes, and this medium sized book perfectly explains the 37 Wings to Awakening.

The Buddha extolled his followers to regularly and deeply reflect on these qualities of the heart and mind:

The 4 foundations of mindfulness/frames of reference
the 4 right efforts/exertiong
the 4 bases of power
the 5 spiritual faculties
the 5 strengths
the 7 factors of awakening
the noble eightfold path.

I searched for years to find all of these in one place explained, and here it is. Thanissaro Bhikkhu offers primary resources to explain these topics in esoteric detail.

Thanissaro Bhikkhu is a sublime translator and I suspect must be a very awakened being. Barre Center for Buddhist Studies distributes this book for a donation, and Access To Insight distributes it electronically in its entirety.
