I received this series as a gift this past Christmas and boy was I excited! I've been waiting for this to come out on DVD for the longest time. Naturally, I grew up with a love for all things aviation and I used to watch reruns of this show on the USA Network every night in the 90s. I never watched it in when it was on NBC, but I knew this series would stay with me forever. Sure, some of the lines are cheesy, some of the episodes are hokey, but come on, it was the 90s! All in all, this is a great TV series that, at least nowadays, you can only watch in the early mornings on the TV Land Channel. Do yourself a favor, pick up this hilarious series and enjoy the high flying fun!

I recently underwent surgery and decided to watch the complete Wings series while I was recuperating. My wife and I both enjoyed the series while it was on televison and seldom see re-runs on any of the cable channels. I was able to watch up through Season Three before my twelve year-old daughter decided to commandeer the DVD collection and watch them on her portable player. Sometimes humor is timeless and it's great to know she enjoys the series as much as my wife and I did. In addition, it's great to know that she's watching something that's really funy and not inappropriate like so many of the current television sitcoms. I enjoy watching Two And One-Half Men; however, the humor has become so sexually explicit and just downright rank that we've stopped watching the new season. There are so many hilarious cast members (Lowell, Antonio, Faye, Roy & Brian) and so many great memorable lines that it's really hard to pick one out although one memorable line from Lowell (who else) does come to mind. All of the cast decides their love life is in the toilet and decide to enlist the help of a dating service. As part of the dating process, they are each interviewed separately and asked several loaded questions. Lowell is asked, "when is it okay to lie?" and his response is "when you can't remember the truth!" Given the context of the question and the honest deadpan look on his face when he responds, it's hysterical and one I have worked into daily conversations to make people laugh. It always works! If you're looking for something funny to watch, with or without your kids, this just might be the ticket and you don't need surgery as a reason to purchase the DVD. collection.
