Barbara Fairchild is someone very, very special. Listening to her faith expressed in this outstanding collection of Gospel Standards will attest to the fact that this woman loves God and loves people! Its so rare that an artist can be so talented, yet so unpretentious. Barbara is real. She always has been. Back in the early seventies when she was hotter than a fire cracker with her country recordings, she was never given her due. This compilation is haunting and moving that gets better and better with each listen. To hear her sing "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" or "I Will Meet You in the Morning" or any of the other brilliant cuts on this collection will have your spirits soaring! No woman singer today can hold a candle to this beautiful person, inside and out!! Barbara Fairchild is simply the best!!

Barbara Fairchild has too often been overlooked in the realms of country music and country gospel music. Her unwaivering faith has blessed many, many people and she continues to have God use her abundantly. This offering of standards is probably the best Gospel CD she has ever recorded!! Every cut is a masterpiece and her voice is unbelievably outstanding! The production on every song is masterful without being overpowering. This is ...to put it simply...beautiful, uplifting music!! I am very hard to please so I bought this with reservations...not about Barbara...who has always been wonderful...but about the way she has been produced over the years. I cried the first time all the way through almost every cut because I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit shining through every aspect of the production. I can't pick out a favorite because they are all wonderful!! Your spirits will soar as Barbara lifts you up to see God's glory! I can only hope and pray she gives us another offering of more traditional standards and has the same production staff as she had on this CD! The person who gave the earlier mediocre review to this CD obviously only likes Contemporary Christian music and its a shame because the review is so unfair. This CD is priceless and I'm going to order more and give them out as gifts. This CD is a true testament to the power of God by a lovely lady who has never compromised her commitment to him and who supremely touches the soul with the masterful art of her craft! Bravo Barbara and God Bless You for blessing us with one of the most beautiful collections of music I have ever heard! You all can take that to the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this cd. It has many songs some of us will remember from our childhood. While it does not contain the contemporary type of praise and worship it has a wonderful southern blend of praise. Barbara's voice is at its best in this album. This is the second time I have bought this cd and it is one of those which I never get tired of. If you like old songs with a new beat you will love it too.

I'd be hard pressed to find another CD like this anywhere. Barbara Fairchild has always been so down-to-earth and charming. She soars on the vocals of these classic gem songs that are truly inspiring gospel!! This CD is absolutely beautiful!

This cd turned out to be country gospel instead of the traditional country music she used to sing. Rather disappointing
to say the least. If I had known it was christian I wouldn't have bought it because the only christian singer I like is Amy Grant! It's too bad that I could only buy Barbera's original country music on cassette a year ago because the cd wasn't available and now you can only get either version used. Most people may never know just how fantastic she really used to be because the song Teddy Bear was just the tip of the iceberg and sadly was her only hit song when she made others that were much better but didn't get the credit she truly deserved. She still has a good voice but she really needs to return to her roots and sing real country once again.
