The soundtrack is one of the better ones you'll hear. Thematically it is similar to the music of the Christopher Reeve/Jane Seymore film Somewhere In Time. The music also sounds as if it hails from the era of French Impressionism. The strings and woodwinds I find achingly beautiful. I am transported everytime I listen to this sound track. Visions of the scenes of Venice from the movie can be revisited when listening to this soundtrack. I loved it more than the movie itself!

The Wings of the Dove, in it's self is a movie that changes the way you look at things. The soundtrack does the very same. When you listen, you can feel every moment. It Makes you look at life in a new way, while pinpointing moments that, in the movie, touched your heart.

There is a haunting Theme present through out the score, that Brings out the sadness you feel for the Protagonist Milly Theal, and the distaste that you feel for the antagonist Kate Croy. If you loved this movie, The soundtrack will not disappoint you.

"Wings of the Dove" is one of the most compelling scores i've ever listened to. Every time i listen to it, i get reminded of how beautiful the movie (and helena-bonham carter of course) was

The soundtrack contains few melodic highlights except a recurring theme that is associated with the character Millie. But, almost each track conveys a number of moods that changes sometimes abruptly, sometimes subtly in the space of that track. More complex than typical film scores, when that sendimental melody rises from the murk, in those moments, you feel the grace of Millie's love with bracing clarity. This balance of love/friendship and deception, pervasive in the music, beautifully evokes those same conflicts in the characters of the movie. Though I don't think the film score stands well enough on its own, I highly recommend it for any fan of the movie!

I love this soundtrack. Bought it ages ago, but never reviewed it. It's a beautiful score and takes one through all the emotions running through the movie.

Nicely done movie music in the romantic vein, and as I say, good for listening with lots of
hot coffee and a warm hearth on a rainy day. Orchestration is especially nice.
