Soul Music, March 18, 2008

I first heard this music at Kallah in DeKalb when it was newly released and I said to others, "That music connects with my soul. I have to have it." I am on my third copy of the CD because I wore out the first two. I have used it in stress management workshops I've conducted at a university I taught at for many years. The students are from varied backgrounds and religious traditions. They love the music. It's wonderful if you're familiar with the prayers; it's wonderful if you're not Jewish and are willing to let the melodies carry you to heights. I am professor emerita in psychology at my university.

don't miss this cd, April 16, 2011

This cd is truly wonderful. Miriam's voice is soulful, beautiful and the rendition of sometimes familiar songs and melodies still fresh. It's function is as a healing cd and over the last two years I have had two terrible losses. It is this cd that I play over and over as a way to touch the beautiful side of life. Moreover, I received the cd very quickly, which was perfect since I actually bought this second copy for someone's birthday and I was running late. The recipient is also a singer of Jewish healing songs and chants and she too finds Miriam's cd extremely soothing. Imagine finding something soothing to listen to when suffering horrific loss! But this cd does just that... quite a gift. Besides all this Miriam included a personal note and all in all I do hope people will buy her cd. You will not be disappointed.
