Are you kidding? Its Wingy Manone for pete's sake!
This is killer stuff; it makes me want to put tnt in my head and then when the cd is done i can't help but start all over.
This cd plays forever: 67 minutes. You can take this cd on the jet and float away for the entire trip. A pure minimum of drums and base: tenor banjos rule! Two versions of the Isle of Capri! When I hear it i want to take a ferry across the bay to Catalina just to hear it in a period Avalon dance hall. Tell me seriously, haven't you wanted to blow someone off the isle of capri?
Wingy is a period showpiece as well as being the greatest one handed trumpet player. The vocals, the lyrics are all transcendent of this dirty, mercentile age.
The Blues Have Got Me; relaxed and sincere. The Good Ship Lollypop? I hate it but I love it when Wingy does it.
Get back into the period of artistic genius in this country. Break free of convention and mind-numbing cultural copy-catting. Buy Wingy!
