Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Christopher Robin's stuffed animal friends reunite for another three- story video in the Friendship series. In Pooh Skies, Pooh and the gang play out a version of Chicken Little in which the silly old bear accidentally knocks a broken robin's egg out of its nest. An approaching storm only confirms their worst fears--and Eeyore's expectations--so Pooh and Gopher take it upon themselves to venture upwards for some serious repair work. Oh Bottle is a pirate story involving messages and treasure maps in a bottle that ends up as a flower vase meant for Christopher Robin's mother. Finally, in Up, Up and Awry, Pooh's attempts to go airborne land him in "jail" for breaking the law of gravity. Don't worry, he doesn't do hard time. In fact, his pals wind up joining him and, as often happens in the world of Pooh, they have a party. --Kimberly Heinrichs

2.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, but not one of Disney's better Efforts!, August 27, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Winnie the Pooh - Imagine That, Christopher Robin! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a very enjoyable edition to the Pooh friendship series. The story is mild and is good for kids up to the age of 5. The story has plenty if action to bring a smile to your child's face. The video is great and is fun for kids.

In the story, you will see how Pooh thinks he broke the sky, how Pooh wants to fly, and how they try to save Christopher Robin, even though he was not in trouble.

The story sounds like a very entertaining video. However, you may notice that the animation is weaker than the classic Pooh stories, the illustrations are not as good, and surprisingly, the characters are not very active, unlike the Classics, Blustery Day, Honey Tree, Tigger Too, and Day for Eeyore. These are less charming than the ones with Sterling Holloway, Hal Smith, and all the other great voices.

This is not one of Disney's better efforts, and is far from one of Pooh's best adventures. The video is great for your kids, but it is still nothing like the originals. Stick to the originals.(Blustery Day, Honey Tree, Tigger Too, Day for Eeyore).

1.0 out of 5 stars definately not a classic, March 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Winnie the Pooh - Imagine That, Christopher Robin! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Pooh I like, but this video just wasn't fun. The characters seem kind of flat and boring - nothing like Pooh and friends from the "classics".

2.0 out of 5 stars The Pooh Story, December 11, 1999
This review is from: Winnie the Pooh - Imagine That, Christopher Robin! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
For a video for this age, I think there could have been a better story line.A little slow moving and sometimes even boring. Prachi
