Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Rabbit has a party in "Party Poohper," but the rest of the gang is tied up trying to save bunnies from danger. (Poor Rabbit, rather touchingly, holds the party festivities anyway with stitched-together doll versions of his absent friends.) In "Pooh Day Afternoon," Christopher Robin asks Pooh to be his assistant dog sitter, a serious job that the old bear might not be up to. Good stuff, pleasing animation that moves well, strong characters with real feelings often expressed movingly, and plenty of humor. --Tom Keogh

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't leave the 100 acre wood!, September 30, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Winnie the Pooh: Pooh Party [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The disappointing part of this video is that one story happens at Christopher Robin's house: seeing him and his mom takes away from it to us - also Pooh, Tiger, etc. are now about 1 foot tall because they are shown in relation to a big dog. Stay in the 100 acre wood and remain a fun fantasy! Not the best of Pooh tapes and we've seen about 6 - my 3 year old loves "Cowboy Pooh" and "Detective Tiger" and started out on "Sharing and Caring"

5.0 out of 5 stars Kessie's Back!, July 4, 2005
By
This review is from: Winnie the Pooh: Pooh Party [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie was hilarious and brought back Kessie! The little blue bird from one of their earlier episodes, when Rabbit rescued her and raised her as his own. That episode was so heartwarming and sad at the end that it moved me to tears. You can find that episode in Winnie The Pooh Seasons of Giving. It has other Characters such as a Heffalump and a Woozle who plot to steal honey! And you see Christopher Robin's mom and the parts of the city that's near by, which is a nice change.

4.0 out of 5 stars We Love Pooh!, January 15, 2002

This is a nice addition to your toddler's video library. These shorter version Pooh videos are just right for a toddler's attention span and a great way to introduce Pooh to them. It was a hit with our 2 year old grandson, who finds it fascinating every time we play it for him.
