5.0 out of 5 stars Winnie-The -Pooh's Teatime Cookbook
This is the most charming and delightful little recipe book I've ever bought! I needed cookbooks representing cultures from around the world for a senior high school Multicultural Studies class that I teach and thought it would be fun to include English teatime snacks. I got this book and decided to keep it for myself. The recipes are fun and easy. Try the honeycake and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Charming but minimal as a "cookbook"
This book is small and rather minimal. As cookbooks go, it's pretty a lightweight, and instead heavier on the "cute" factor. I haven't tried the recipes, but they may be great. Had I seen it in a bookstore, I would not have purchased it.

I love to cook and where I work we have a yearly Tea Party in which we donate the proceeds to a local charity. I have used several of the recipes in this book and have only received rave reviews. The illustrations and poems are an extra delight. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recipes Can't Be Beat, January 3, 2011
By
This review is from: Winnie-the-Pooh's Teatime Cookbook (Hardcover)
I've had this cookbook for years and it has hands-down the BEST recipes for lemon bars and carrot cake I have ever found. Every time I have made either people rave, and I frequently get special requests for one or the other (or, in some cases, both!) on birthdays and special occasions. All of the recipes are easy to follow, simple, and give amazing results - from tea sandwiches to cakes and cookies to pastries, this book is outstanding. The adorable quotes and illustrations of Milne's timeless characters just add to its charm.

I have had this cookbook for over 20 years and I love it! It has the BEST recipe for Chocolate Cake, and the Cream Cheese Frosting is to die for. I also love the poppy seed muffins and several other recipes from this book...I loved it as a kid, and I love it as an adult- my Husband loves the chocolate cake, he asks for it every year for his birthday cake.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cute collection of recipies!, June 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Winnie-the-Pooh's Teatime Cookbook (Hardcover)
THis book was a good selection of recipies revolving around the origonal pooh books. Tho they were not origonaly from Winnie the Pooh or the House at pooh Corner or the Two Books of Poems that A. A. Milne wrote about this silly old bear, they were collected carefuly to surround the stories. These books are smaller in content but very compriable to the (3) three books by V. H. Ellison with recipies in them about Pooh and his friends. THey are diffrent recipies and very taty at that!
