Bravo, Stacey,
This review is from: Winning After Losing: Keep Off the Weight You've Lost--Forever (Hardcover)
Anyone who dismisses this book as superficial you-can-do-it-if-you-try stuff isn't willing to do the work to keep off the weight. Come on, Stacey lost over 350 pounds and is keeping it off -- she doesn't do it by simply thinking positive. She tells us how she does do it, and if it works for her, as addicted as she was, it ought to work for anyone willing to do the work. Personally, I found her book very inspiring, and it's given me concrete methods that have been easier for me to latch on to than methods I've seen in any other book. I urge anyone who may be killing herself with food to try this book. It may be your best chance at saving your life. (And by the way, I didn't see a single spelling or grammatical error in the entire book, and I'm a professional editor.)

Just what I needed,
This review is from: Winning After Losing: Keep Off the Weight You've Lost--Forever (Hardcover)
This book is written by a recovering food addict - which is exactly where I'm trying to head - into recovery. The book speaks directly to me, and I'm sure, many others who are experiencing life long battles with food addiction. Stacey covers every area that you could think of and then some. It's a very positive book and serves as a terrific inspiration for me to keep at my goal of getting healthy. I frequently refer to the book as a means of motivation.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to maintain their weight, as well as to those who are still struggling to start the weight loss process.

I've been following Stacey's amazing story on Oprah and was glad she put it in a book. Her story and the stories of those in the Winner's Circle were inspiring. I love what Stacey says about keeping off the weight. For me, losing was the easy part. The only way I keep it off is to watch what I eat and to stay active. And I was pleased that Stacey included my favorite exercise game, The Fitness Challenge. It's one of the tools I used to get the motivation to exercise. The Fitness Challenge Board Game. Hats off to Stacey!

FINALLY, someone wrote a book to aid in maintaining the weight that we so feverishly seek to lose! This book will even be helpful for those that are still struggling to lose the last few pounds as well. Losing is tough but maintaining the weight is even tougher! Lots of great advise and tips for hanging in there and keeping the focus! I'm just sorry she beat me to the punch in writing this. So proud of her weight loss and her accomplishments!
